An artist born in Essex, England, Jane Barclay attained her degree at Middlesex University, London. Over the years she has exhibited her work in London, Paris and Holland, both in galleries and on catwalks. She also taught at Middlesex University and various art and textile courses at Loughton & Harlow Colleges in Essex before leaving the UK in 1997 to come to Luxembourg. Returning to her artwork after bringing up her family, her paintings often reflect her interest in textiles and her love of vibrant colours.
